They say ''Wow'', you know ''WHY''

Hello!!! Doing great so far? So I am. =)

First of all, I want to tell you that Mondays became quite struggling for me to post as practises of Rethoric started yesterday and so it did theaters classes.

In second place...Have you seen? From now on, we'll try to post a picture of ourselves so you can perfectly see who we are and get to know more about us. I hope you understand by now, why I'm screaming in hte pic. =)

Said so, let's begin! Third week, third post, third feeling. FEAR.
Wow, when my mates told about this week's topic I though, ''ok, Cris, you are in a big trouble now''

But well, as Camilo Jose Cela said once, ''If inspiration comes, is while working'' So I started looking for some of my drawings that may show fear and I have to say it's a great week for Harry Potter Fans, as this topic is the one who gave me more inspiration and feeling of fear.

So, today, I'm gonna show you how, for me, fear is more than being afraid of something, it's more that a face with eyes wide open. I'm going to tell you WHY I think those drawings deserve be considered a way of screaming FEAR  in silence.

In a quite funny way, I did this drawing last year when my sister had to go to the hairdresser due to a wedding. All she wants is having the longest hairstyle ever, so when mum told her to cut it for rhe wedding, she was so agaist her will. So, we can say she was afraid of the hairdresser, as is know by all of us , hairdressers don't always cut only the hair they are meant to. So even if not seriously, she was AFRAID.
What I think is wonderful of this small drawing is the chance it gave me to express a bad feeling in a funny way so I could help my sister not being that afraid.
I'm sorry I've started with this one, but I wanted to show you how many different ways of expression FEAR can englobe.

In second place I wanted to upload this drawing I made of Rachel Weisz on The Mummy Returns (2002) last summer.
OK, so I know this drawing wont ever be the most emotional one all over the world representing FEAR, but THERE IS fear on it.
I made the drawing thinking about a situation when you are seeking for something you don't really want to find. A thief, a secret, the reason why some one is not answering your calls.
She's not screaming, but is not that she does not want -need- to, is that she's not able to. Fear itself won't let her scream. She paralysed, frozen by fear. I don't even think she would be able to move if she needed to.
Even if this drawing is not the most emotional one I have shown you so far, it one where the strongest feelings are happening.
In the following one, I wanted to show the urgency. Even the way the drawing is done was though due to this aim. Drawing lines are not so carefully done, not worked all they could be.
The picture belong to Harry Potter's third film Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
when Harry and Hermione run back in time to save Harry's Godfather's life. In the moment of the picture, they are about to be discovered, but acting fast saves them all.
So, with this, I just wanted to stand out how fear does not only mean cowardice, not only paralyses people, just like in the drawing above, if not it helps you reacting. The fear of being discovered saving Harry's Godfather, makes her be faster doing her job. Encourages her.

Same here. In this one, Emma Watson's sidekick , Hermione Granger, six years after previous drawing, and accompanied by Rupert Grint's character, Ron Weasley, shows a similar kind of FEAR. They are not only of being discovered, they are afraid of loosing their lives. This is from the not-yet-released Final movie of the saga, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows(part 2).
In this drawing, they also look terrified ( in fact, if you watch the trailer at 1:22, you can see them moving backwards) but they keep fighting. Their fear make them move. Without that feeling, they would stay still, until the are cursed and die. Fear is technically saving their lives. So don't be surprised if this blog ever talks about courage and I use this drawing again.
(Understand me, I mean in a hypothetical way, Harry Potter story is just real on our mind thank to J.K. Rowling imagination)
On the Other hand we have this small drawing, where a guy, who's just about to die, so it's obviously afraid, it's not fighting anymore, just hopes some one cames to rescue him. Fear beat him.

I specially like the one where only legs are shown. There's no need of faces to show feelings. Here I see a girl who just stopped running away from something. Even if I don't see her face, I can imagine her looking left and right so she can make sure she's safe from whatever thing she escaping. Can you see that or am I mental?
Now I'm going to talk about these two drawings at once. I think the girls drawn on them share the same expression, same face, but I did not think about them feeling the same when I did the drawings.
The one on the left side, was meant to be a girl terrified by a scare. So that would mean, feeling external fear. Not so deep.
The second one, on the rigth side , was though to be feeling a deeper fear. Fear of being alone, of losing that has to be overcome by herself, with time and inner fight. It won't be forgotten in the minutes like the other one.

Finally, here it comes the drawing that explains the title of these post and also, will try to explain the most difficult of all fears, the OWN FEAR. Now, you all have to think about want you fear the most.

I made the drawing when I was 15, when Leona Lewis was barely known here in Spain but had already waken up my interest.
So, by then, I was so afraid of everything, school marks, future, friends etc...but when I found this picture....well, everything looked so easy, so calm. I realized how this awesome singer, must have her own fears, but she overcame them and now was, and still is, successful doing what she likes.
Thinking so, I droped all my fears making this drawing as I truly wanted to feel as calmed as L. Lewis looked on the picture. And In the end, I did those butterflies, like showing faith in overcoming problems. When I finished all fears were gone.

So this is why this week's post is called They say ''wow'', you know ''WHY'' because when people see this drawing, all they say are good things (thank you all by the way) but they don't know why did a I draw it. They don't know the feeling behind my drawings. Sometimes I feel like it's a way I use to tell everyone things that must not be known, like I'm SCREAMING IN SILENCE. And is one of the most wonderful things ever; Being able to say what you want but you can't.

So thank you all for keep on this, and I await you here next week.
